The Brazilian family is one that likes to be always united and close. They like to share moments and to make different events to be together. This is an aspect that catches people’s attention and makes them a little different from others. But outsiders usually don’t realize that it’s not just about happiness that makes up Brazilian families. We have our fights, shouting and disagreeing moments too. We are not the kind of a perfect family, if there is one, but we are far from it. There are so many families in Brazil that are not so united, that they don’t get to see each other and there is a lot of disharmony. This doesn’t make it better or worse, it makes it kind of a normal family. Not that we like it that way, but sometimes it just happens and pride makes no one come back and try to back down. But there is so much hope that this doesn’t exist and love is the main thing in our lives. Practically every Brazilian family has that Dona Herminia style mother, so scandalous that it’s funny, and a contradictory super grumpy father. There’s that joker uncle that no one finds funny and that aunt who takes hilarious photos with nature. There is that son who only lives playing and that preppy girl who dresses up too much. This is all a vision of what the Brazilian family would be like, not that they are all like that. There isn’t exactly one way to describe it because each case is different and that doesn’t deny the fact that they are families. 💓
